A new era for nails: Introducing Nails by Mii at the Spa
17 September 2025I recently spent a relaxing day at Nirvana Spa and had the chance to try both the new swim lanes and the cold water dip – and I’m so glad I did!

"The setup really allowed me to focus on my technique and settle into a steady rhythm"
The swim lanes were a real highlight for me. It was such a refreshing change to be able to swim continuously without having to constantly stop and turn at the end of each length. The setup really allowed me to focus on my technique and settle into a steady rhythm. I found it surprisingly easy to control the speed – just a few simple buttons, and I could adjust it to suit my pace. The water temperature was absolutely lovely too – warm enough to feel soothing, but cool enough to stay energised throughout the swim. It made the whole experience feel very calming and focused.

"I decided to take the plunge (literally!)"
Afterwards, I decided to take the plunge (literally!) into the cold water dip. I’ll admit – getting in was a bit of a challenge at first. But once I read the advice on the side and took it slowly, using the breathing techniques to help relax, it became much more manageable. And once I was in, it was surprisingly enjoyable. There’s something very grounding about the stillness, and I could really feel it helping my muscles recover - after a strenuous swim the previous day. It left me feeling refreshed, recharged, and even a bit proud for sticking with it!
Both the swim lanes and the cold dip brought something unique to my visit – and I’d definitely recommend giving them a try if you haven’t already. Whether you’re looking to improve your swim technique or try something new for recovery, they’re well worth exploring.
