At the Nirvana Spa Collection, our roots in Finchampstead run deep
It’s not just the location of our new hotel, West Court Retreat; it’s where the family behind our organisation has long-standing ties, making our community initiatives deeply personal.
One of the ways we’ve supported the local area is through our collaboration with Finchampstead Sports Ground. This cherished space has benefitted from improvements we’ve championed, such as upgrades to the clubhouse and enhancements to the cricket ground. We’ve also provided kits for local sports teams to ensure sporting facilities are accessible and enjoyable for all age groups, fostering community spirit and bringing people together.
Our dedication to Finchampstead extends to education. By partnering with Finchampstead C of E Primary School, we’ve contributed to enhancing the learning environment for local children by building additional classrooms, installing modern heating systems, and supplying educational resources. These efforts are all aimed at supporting the next generation of this wonderful community.
Recently, Sean Barley, CEO of Nirvana Spa, has proudly spearheaded a meaningful initiative to preserve the local environment. Under his leadership, Nirvana Spa has purchased the Moor Green Nature Reserve, an 80-acre fenced conservation area, to safeguard it for future generations. Sean’s vision for the reserve reflects his commitment to both the local community and ecological stewardship. This beautiful lake and nature reserve, passionately maintained by dedicated volunteers, is a vital ecological haven. By gifting the nature reserve to the Parish Council, Sean ensures its protection and preservation will remain in the hands of those who know the community best. Though not open to the public, the reserve adjoins footpaths to the west and south, offering locals the chance to enjoy its serene beauty up close.
